•Fixed a bug in Vorbis Engine causing it to crash when you select 'Engine Settings'
•Included a new version of Reflections visual plugin.
•Removed 79-second limitation for fullscreen mode for first 15 days of trial.
•Fixed a few smaller bugs.
What's new in 1.2 (Hey, that rhymes.)
•Visual Plugins
After much of Alex's whining asking "When are you going to implement VPs? I need VPs!" and his whining to other people to whine to Slava asking for VPs, we have implemented Visual Plugins into Unsanity™ Echo. These are separate modules and cannot be connected to EchoVision. Now maybe Alex will stop whining.
•Stuffit Installer
Rosyna started to whine first. "Where is stuffit integration? I want Stuffit. GIVE ME STUFFIT!" Fine, fine. Now you have Stuffit. Be happy. Unsanity™ Echo now handles installing of components much easier and more Mac-like than any other audio application for the umm... Mac.
•15-Day Period of Not a Single Nag™
Apparently we were not of sound mind before. In response to overwhelming demand we have decided that the first fifteen days of using Unsanity™ Echo without paying is painless and not-annoying.
•Updated Two PIMPs
Rosyna decided to have a little programming "experience" under the belt and updated the M3U and PLS PIMPs. It's all good.
•Digital Signal Processors
We had no clue what else to add, so we pulled little pieces of paper out of a hat. One said "Create World Peace" but we thought that was a little too much for a .1 update and went with DSPs.
•Joint-Stereo Labeling
Some people always like to know whether their music is in stereo, mono, or join-stereo. Now we also label the last one in the Channel info part of the scroller.
•Minor Bug Fixes and Changes
This is what a programmer says when s/he can't remember what was fixed but knew it was important enough to do. This is also known to mean "We disabled leaked serial numbers, and moved an ellipse or two."
Version 1.1
• Fullscreen mode
Yes! Now you can enjoy EchoVision plugins in full screen! Impressive selection of screen resolutions and 10 display modes for fullscreen will give you a breath-taking experience.
• 10-band Equalizer
Unsanity™ Echo now features 10-band equalizer with a dozen factory-made presets.
• Better Memory Management
The memory management system of Unsanity™ Echo was reworked, and now certain parts of the application use less memory than before, while keeping the performance and feature set on the same level.
• Control Menu
Unsanity™ Echo now features a Control menu that allows easy playback control with menu shortcuts.
• Keyboard Controls
Unsanity™ Echo can be controlled by the keyboard for your convenience. Below are the short list of controls supported:
Up and Down Arrows = adjust volume
Left and Right Arrows = adjust track position
Space Bar = pause
Tab = next track
Shift-Tab = previous track
The controls below are supported only in Fullscreen mode:
1 to 0 keys = switch fullscreen mode
Esc = exit fullscreen mode
` = switch to next preset
Shift-` = switch to previous preset
• More Velocity Engine™ optimizations
Even more functions in Unsanity™ Echo are VE-optimized, including full screen-related optimizations. This gives a great performance gain on Apple™ Macintosh G4 models.
• Faster Item Deletion
Item deletion algorythm was rewritten from scratch, and now it's faster and more robust than before.
• Memory Usage Information Displays
Now you can see exactly how much memory is taken by each EchoVision plugin, preset, or other Unsanity™ Echo systems. It is available in the EchoVision tab of Preferences dialog box and in Info tab in About box.
• Improved MP3 Recognition Routines
Our MP3 scanning routines are better, allowing to detect almost all kinds of 'corrupted' mp3s while keeping the scan speed the same.
• New And Updated Plugins
Included with this version updated versions of CDDA, NSF, AC3, and OGG Vorbis Engines. Plus, there's two new EchoVision plugins for you to play with - Fried and Atomitron. Moreover, RotoZoom plugin was rewritten from scratch and now allows tiling, and other nifty effects.
• Bugfixes
Just as any release, this one fixes some bugs found in 1.0.
